Кент Бек

Один из основателей методологии экстремального программирования. Стоял у истоков JUnit, ставшего сегодня стандартным инструментом тестирования Java-программ. Кроме того, Бек — автор ряда книг по экстремальному программированию (XP, Extreme Programming) и Test-Driven Development. Он собрал 77 шаблонов, предназначенных для обслуживания задач ежедневного программирования и написания более читаемого кода.

«Habits for Agility».

Agility is supported by concrete behavior. In this talk I discuss a dozen habits that contribute to the ability to identify the need for change and respond in time.

«Responsive Design».

Software design is most challenging when the designer is required to adapt to unforeseen changes. Software design rests on hidden structure, though, and understanding this structure gives the designer new techniques and perspective. In this talk I will introduce Responsive Design, talk about some of its quantitative roots including the prevalence of power law distributions in software designs, and describe four strategies for safely introducing incremental design change.
